Okay, so it's been what, like twenty-some years since I first read the words that caused the ground beneath my feet began to slowly shift towards the virtual.
I read the first sentence and something clicked.
The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.
This is almost as cool and really fuckin' scary if you think too much about it:
